Eyeglass Frames and Lenses
Getting new glasses shouldn’t feel like a chore. At our Muncy Eye Care center, we have an on-site optical shop right here on Route 405 in Muncy, PA where you can pick out frames, talk through your lens options, and walk out with glasses that actually work for your life. No pressure. No upselling. Just honest help from people who know what they’re doing.
Patients come to us after buying glasses online and being disappointed. The frames don’t fit right, the lenses aren’t quite what they expected, or the prescription just feels off. Theres a reason in-person still matters when it comes to glasses — fit, lens quality, and how a frame sits on your face all make a real difference in how well you actually see.
Our Frame Selection
We carry a solid mix of frames for men, women, and kids — name brands alongside more affordable options — so theres something for every budget and every style. Whether you want something low-key and professional for work or something with a little more personality, we’ll help you find a pair that fits your face and feels comfortable all day. We also carry durable kid’s frames built to actually hold up to being a kid.
Lens Options We Offer
The frame is only half of it — the lenses matter just as much, and there are alot of options out there. We’ll help you figure out what actually makes sense based on your prescription and how you use your eyes every day. Options include:
Single vision lenses — for distance or reading
Progressive lenses — no-line multifocals for people who need help seeing both near and far
Bifocals — traditional two-zone lenses
Computer or blue light lenses — great for folks who spend long hours on screens at work or at home
Photochromic lenses (like Transitions) — darken in sunlight, clear inside
Anti-reflective and scratch-resistant coatings
High-index lenses for stronger prescriptions — thinner and lighter than standard lenses
Polarized sunglasses and prescription sunglass lenses
We Know What Works for People
Lycoming County has a lot of people who work outdoors — farming, construction, oil and gas — and they need glasses that hold up to real conditions. We also see a lot of patients who spend all day at a desk or on a computer. We ask about your daily routine because it actually changes what lenses and coatings make the most sense for you. Somebody working outside on a farm near Benton has different needs than someone driving to Williamsport every day for office work, and we treat it that way.
Adjustments, Repairs, and Same-Day Services
Glasses break. Screws fall out. Frames get bent. We do adjustments and minor repairs right here in the office, and we don’t make you feel bad about it. Lost a screw at Keiss Memorial Park or at a Little League game? Come on in. We’ll get you sorted out fast. We also do nose pad replacements, temple adjustments, and general tune-ups to keep your current glasses fitting the way they should.
Bring Your Outside Prescription — No Problem
If you had your eye exam somewhere else and just want to shop for frames and lenses with us, you’re welcome to bring in your prescription. We’ll fill it and help you pick out a great pair. We do ask that prescriptions are current — generally within the last one to two years — for your own safety.
Insurance and Pricing
We accept most major vision insurance plans. Our staff will check your benefits before you pick out frames so you know exactly what’s covered and what your out-of-pocket cost will be before you commit to anything. We also have options and discounts for patients without vision insurance — just ask us and we’ll work with your budget.
