Dr Mabus graduated from the Pennsylvania College of optometry in 2013 as a Doctor of Optometry. Prior to that she graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a bachelors of science in bio behavioral health. She is a current member of the American Optometric Association, Pennsylvania Association, and Optical Women’s Association.

Dr Mabus grew up in Turbotville, Pennsylvania and returned to the area in 2015 after working at a group ophthalmology practice in York Pennsylvania and then began practicing at different private and retail practices in the north central Pennsylvania area.

In September 2018 Dr Mabus purchased Dr. Schmitt’s private practice of 30 years in Muncy Pennsylvania and also opened her own practice in Laporte, Pennsylvania to serve the community of Sullivan County.

Dr Mabus has visited Laporte every summer since she was born, but decided to move there full time in 2015 and has been happily living in Sullivan County and enjoying time spent with family, running along the Loyalsock Creek, paddle boarding, and hiking with her dogs ever since.
